About Branch

Gandhidham Branch of WIRC of ICAI - located at the most western part of the Country was constituted in February 2010 by the gracious hands of then President of ICAI CA Uttam Prakash Agarwal with membership strength of more than 400 but covering whole district of Kutch an area of appox 450 kms which includes Gandhidham, Adipur, Bhuj, Anjar, Bhachau, Mundra, Mandavi, Nakhatrana, Naliya.

At that time there were no office premises, no staff and no manpower available to the Branch. Gandhidham Branch was normally functioning at the Office of the founder Chairman CA F. A. Hiranandani. All the works were done by the Office bearers and Managing Committee Members.

In February 2016, Bhuj Branch is inaugurated and separated from Gandhidham Branch covering area of Bhuj, Mundra, Mandavi, Naliya & Nakhatrana. Today, with a membership of over 300 Chartered Accountants, Gandhidham Branch is recognised as one of the most active, vibrant branch and one of the best branches of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Our Branch conducts a host of activities throughout the year, which include Refresher Courses, International Study Tours, Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Lecture Meetings and Study Circle Meetings for its members and students. The Branch also organises sports activities, cultural events and also social gatherings wherein fellowship amongst members and their families can be nurtured. The Branch further takes initiatives in organising programs for public at large on economic issues concerning the common man by associating with various non-professional bodies. By doing so, it not only fulfils its social obligations but also creates awareness in the society of the role played by Chartered Accountants.

Despite, being in the remote desert location dressed with the Desert Sand, the Branch has banged twice "Certificate of Appreciation" from the Western India Regional Council". The Branch through its brotherhood among the members, is surpassing its previous Benchmarks and reaching the new ones.

The Branch has under its aegis the Gandhidham Branch of WICASA, which caters to over 800 students residing in and around Gandhidham Kandla Complex.
